Description
The cocotte can cook even more delicious rice! The newly developed “La Cocotte de GOHAN La Cocotte de Gohan” is a cast enameled pot that boasts high heat retention.
The rounded form takes into consideration of convection when cooking rice, and the back of the lid is incorporated into chistera, so you can rotate the entire heat without disturbing the heat and cook rice at once.
It can cook exquisite rice with a fluffy and glossy finish.
It is also useful for a variety of dishes, just like cocotte.
Delicious freshly cooked rice can be easily turned into your everyday dining table. Japanese food culture revives with Staub’s La Cocotte de GOHAN

I love this rice cooker, and I love all of Staub. Very attractive color, easy to use and clean. My only complaint is that they send it to Japan and then ship to US. Why not have more local warehouses. Maybe they are not aware of the US market for such pots. Plus, price varies almost daily. I have used many rice cookers, I have learned that if they have a steam vent, they don’t cook rice well, you need a heavy, no moisture release lid, kind of like a pressure cooker which this has, (which is another great way to cook rice). It also had many manufacturing defects, chips off of the rim, and weird rough finish on the lid. Not worth the effort of returning, but not as perfect as other Staub I have purchased.

Love the size and colour! I plan to use them for individual soup bowls.
I also have the 1.9 litre cocotte that makes perfect rice every time!

I own close to a dozen various Staub cookware pieces in Grenadine, all purchased to be shipped to me. Those that have lids have a cardboard insert that fits over the pot/pan, covering it completely. The lid is placed on top, upside down, so the knob/handle pokes down thru a pierced opening in the cardboard. This packaging protects both pieces so they aren’t scratched, chipped, or otherwise damaged in shipping. This poor pot had NO cardboard insert between the lid and pot. The pics show the resulting damage. Extreme scratching and chipping. Completely unacceptable and totally avoidable! I’ve to wonder if this was a return and the cardboard protector was lost/destroyed, but this reseller sent it out anyway. Staub would NEVER ship their items like this!
